3:15 PM Saturday October 6: BUDDIES

$10.00

Buddies is the gay classic you’ve never seen.  This 2018 film is actually a re-release of Arthur J. Bresan, Jr’s 1985 final film, the first feature film about AIDS. It is an incredible, almost documentary-like, time capsule: Robert, a gay California activist diagnosed with AIDS and abandoned by friends and family, is assigned “buddy” David from the gay community center. In the simplicity of the story, Buddies is a timeless portrayal of an entire era in gay history. (Non-juried screening)
